Right before I found out I was pregnant, we went on a weekend trip for our 1-year anniversary. The short trip was part pampering, part adventure. It was almost as if I had an idea that my life was about to change so I planned a weekend that would merge the old and the new. But little did I know that I was already a few weeks into my pregnancy at the time. This baby and I did a LOT of walking during my first trimester, and I like to think it was helpful, given the number of doctors that have exclaimed "nice heart!" while doing an ultrasound.
